• The President leads the executive committee and the organization, leads monthly chapter meetings, and is responsible for overall direction.
• The Vice President supports the president and may assume duties in the president’s absence.
• The Secretary maintains records and manages communications with chapter members. 
• The Treasurer oversees financial matters and is the contact for the chapter account at headquarters.  
• The Communication Director manages the organization’s public image and communication strategies.  

The Executive Committee may appoint additional members or invite additional participants to its meetings and other activities, as needed. Its roles are to:

• Oversee the regular operations of DarkSky Massachusetts
• Be the chapter’s principal liaison with DarkSky International in Tucson
• Organize the chapter’s annual meeting
• Provide guidance to the Policy, Public Awareness, Partnerships, and Dark-Sky Places committees
