MA’s “Dark-Sky Bill” Gets Great Media Coverage

In the past month, IDA-MA members have spread the word about the pending “dark-sky bill” via a “quad-fecta” of high-profile news venues:

On March 8th, Boston.com reporter Dialynn Dwyer posted a detailed 1,200-word story about the bill and why it’s needed. Her reporting features interviews with Senator Cynthia Creem and with IDA-MA’s Tim Brothers and Mario Motta.

On March 27th, Jim Braude invited Kelly Beatty to the WGBH studios to discuss light pollution and the pending bill on “Greater Boston.”

On April 1st, WBUR’s Radio Boston also explored the bill during a discussion between host Deborah Becker and Kelly Beatty.

And on April 15th Mario Motta and Kelly Beatty appeared on iHeartRadio’s nationally broadcast late-night talk show “Jay Talking” (with host Bradley Jay) for a 40-minute-long discussion about the supermassive black hole in the news and the fight against light pollution.
